At the 3rd phase of the current Canton Fair, the home textiles section covers an exhibition area of 65,700 square meters, with over 3,100 booths and more than 1,600 participating enterprises. What new products have the participating enterprises brought to the Canton Fair?

CCTV reporter Wu Meimiao: I am now in a garment and textile exhibition hall, and I have found many garments made of new functional fabrics.

The small sun pattern on this children's clothing is made of "photochromic yarn". When exposed to ultraviolet light, the pattern changes from white to purple. When children are outdoors, this can remind parents to timely protect their children from the sun.

Stain-resistant fabric: When pouring coffee on it, it can be seen that coffee stains on ordinary fabrics are hard to wipe off. However, this fabric can be easily wiped clean with a light rub.

Wrinkle-resistant fabric: After folding, it is found that shirts made of ordinary cotton-polyester fabric have heavy creases, while shirts made of cotton-polyester fabric with new wrinkle-resistant technology hardly have any creases.

There is also a fabric called "polyester-cotton conductive filament" which is very practical in winter, as it has an antistatic function. These are just the tip of the iceberg; exhibitors say that almost all kinds of fabrics available on the market are gathered here.

Reporters also found some new digital technologies at the scene. For example, with a combination of fabric testers, scanners, and digital platforms, information of tens of thousands of fabrics can be input and put online with a light scan, enabling the integration of design and production.

Among them, 3D flexible simulation technology can simulate the real appearance of clothes on the body. The visual analysis of pressure and stress can intuitively show the fit and pressure feeling of clothes on the body, allowing for design adjustments according to the body shapes of different groups of people.

With digital empowerment, the sample-making cycle, which used to take 30 days, has now been shortened to 4-5 days, greatly improving efficiency and saving development and time costs.

From the reporter's interview and observation at the Canton Fair, each session of the Canton Fair is only about half a year apart, and participating enterprises always bring new fabrics and technologies. These details fully demonstrate the innovative vitality of Chinese enterprises.

Currently, there are some changes and challenges in the international trade environment. Some exhibitors say that they are strengthening their layout and transformation. In recent years, the number of customers from emerging markets in Belt and Road Initiative partner countries has been increasing, while the traditional European and American markets also have a growing demand for functional clothing, technological fabrics, green and high-end products, as well as more comfortable products.
